DIY Revitalizing Body Butter: How to Make Mango Butter and Turmeric Body Butter

DIY Revitalizing Body Butter: How to Make Mango Butter and Turmeric Body Butter

If you’re looking for a natural and effective way to nourish your skin, you can’t go wrong with body butter made from mango butter and turmeric. Mango butter is a rich source of vitamins A, C, and E, which are essential for healthy skin, while turmeric has potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties that can improve skin tone and texture. Here’s how you can make your own mango butter and turmeric body butter, and some of the benefits it can offer for your skin.

You can also make this body butter with shea butter, but I prefer the mango butter because it is less greasy and absorbs into the skin better than shea butter does. The shea butter leaves an oily film on my skin which I don’t mind on the rest of my body but not on my face.

How Mango Butter Helped with Skin Scarring

I used Mango Butter a few years ago to treat scars on my face after having contact dermatitis from using a new product on my face. My Doctor prescribed antibiotics for my skin condition but nothing for the scaring. So I took matters into my own hands. The mango butter worked beautifully and it only took a few weeks to correct my scarring.

I discovered from watching several Youtubers, the great benefits of turmeric for the skin, especially helping to even the skin tone. So I decided to create a body butter combining the benefits of the mango butter and the turmeric.

Here’s the recipe for the Mango Butter with Turmeric Body Butter

Ingredients:

 • 1/2 cup of mango butter
 • 1 tablespoon of turmeric powder
 • 1/4 cup of coconut oil or jojoba oil
 • 1/4 cup of sweet almond oil
 • 10-15 drops of your favorite essential oil (optional)

Directions:

 1. In a double boiler, melt the mango butter and coconut oil over low heat until they’re fully melted and combined.
 2. Remove from heat and add the turmeric powder, stirring until it’s fully mixed in.
 3. Allow the mixture to cool for a few minutes, then stir in the sweet almond oil and essential oil if you’re using it.
 4. Transfer the mixture to a glass jar or container and let it cool completely. As it cools, it will solidify into a creamy body butter. No whipping is required.
 5. Store the body butter in a cool, dry place and apply it to your skin as needed.

In conclusion, making your own body butter using mango butter and turmeric is a great way to provide your skin with natural and nourishing ingredients. By combining these two powerful ingredients, you can moisturize, improve skin tone, reduce inflammation, provide antioxidant protection, and soothe various skin conditions. Give it a try and see how your skin benefits from this simple yet effective DIY body butter!
