Have you ever eaten a homegrown tomato? So you know the flavor is so much more robust than the grocery store hot house tomatoes. Homegrown radishes have the peppery flavor that punch up flavor in salads. A lemon is juicier, richer in color. In fact, everything home grown seems to taste better. And my bet is that home grown is more nutrient dense than grocery store produce.
So what do you do if you are limited on backyard real estate? The answer is growing your vegetables in pots. I recently potted several things, tomatoes, bell peppers, jalapeno peppers, radishes. I cheated a little, I bought most of the plants instead of starting from seeds. I couldn’t find collards or kale plants so these will be started from seed.
