About ten years ago, we had a breast cancer scare in our family. One of my family members discovered clusters of masses in both breasts and was scheduled to complete a biopsy. All the women in my family rallied together in prayer and also began researching natural cures for breast cancer. Just in case.
Thank goodness, it was only a scare. Everything turned out fine.
Around the same time, I began perimenopause and was experiencing a lot of scary symptoms. Heart palpitations, painful hemorrhaging menstruals, new food allergies. This time the Matriarchs in our family opened up about their own experiences with menopause. Previously it was considered a taboo subject and their mothers never discussed it.
They shared a lot of helpful information from their personal experience and research that helped me through a difficult time in my life. Based on their suggestions, I started seeing my Doctor regularly, exercising, modified my diet, drank lots of chlorophyll and now do whole body cleanses periodically.
Since then all the women in my family have become a clearing house for natural remedies of all kinds for friends and extended family. They are always researching and engaging others in conversations and asking them about their own health challenges and solutions. I get regular emails and texts from them with information on health and wellness. I’ve now become fascinated with researching natural remedies.
I don’t have a degree or any medical certifications. I’m just a passionate researcher with a love of writing. In my blog posts I will always share the science-based sources for information I share with you.
I’ve been a creative writer since my early teens and just made the decision to commit to writing full time.

My other interests are real estate (I’ve been a Realtor for over ten years). I’m also a crafter; like making all kind of DIY projects (Repurposing, knitting and crocheting are my absolute favorites). I knit and crochet items for my Mother’s online store (Bee’s Knits And Gifts).
